2024 ZINE 5

21 years went by in what feels like a single day. I suddenly had a lot to look back on, because I was releasing the fifth edition of my annual zine — even though it felt like only yesterday that I was working on the very first one.

This edition marks an important moment for me. It was the beginning of my recognisable visual style finally taking shape. After years of experimenting, searching and changing direction, I started to understand what I wanted my photography to look and feel like.

It was also the beginning of a new chapter professionally. I started taking on assignments in Warsaw and my work began developing at a much faster pace. In many ways, that growth has continued ever since.

At the same time, this year was still very much about searching — finding things, losing them, burying them and then searching all over again. I was trying to understand myself, my work and where I wanted to go. More about that can be found inside the pages of this zine.

There is something particularly beautiful about turning 21 and being able to put your dream Ferrari Testarossa on the cover of a publication you created yourself. It felt like one of those moments when something you had imagined for years suddenly became real.

I am grateful to everyone I met along this beautiful road and to everyone who contributed to making this edition happen. Without you, it simply would not exist.

The zine is also a record of how quickly things can change. What started as a small personal project during the pandemic had, five editions later, become one of the most consistent parts of my life.
