The "afterimage" project is a personal notebook that has become a visual analysis of the relationship with my father.

The project is based on the concept of "non-place", i.e. a space devoid of emotions, in which we only stay for a moment.

This non-place was the road from Warsaw - home now, to Lublin - family home. Navigation - the stream of consciousness - appearing in the text and in intuitive photo-taking during the journey and at its destination.

Each page is a thought or memory of my father. The road, the house he built, the car. From sunrise to sunset.

In original polish title its "Powidok" - title refers to Władysław Strzemiński's "Theory of Seeing" and after-images.

I spent my childhood on the "Widok" district. This road is its afterimage (Po-widok).
